Judith is a highly successful English Teacher and accredited UCAS Adviser with a wealth of experience in helping students to establish their goals and enjoy success.
Judith has worked in inner-city wide-ability comprehensives in Barking and Bristol. She relished her time teaching overseas in Colegio Markham (an HMC independent school, internationally-recognised for excellence) in Lima, Peru.
She has served as Head of English, Head of Creative Arts and Head of 6th Form in Grammar schools in Kent for many years and specialises in UCAS admissions and University preparation. Duncan founded Culverden Tutors in 2019 after a career which included many years of successful secondary Mathematics teaching in the UK and overseas, and a subsequent career as a technology and change management professional, primarily in the Financial Services and Health sectors.
His career includes serving as Head of Mathematics and Computer Science in several schools in UK and Latin America, as Chief Operating Officer for a software startup, and as Director of his own change management consultancy business.
Throughout, he has retained his passion for Mathematics, and since 2019 has delivered 2000+ hours of A-Level tuition.
His style, recognising the anxiety that Mathematics can cause in some students, is patient and empathetic, focussing on confidence building.
